If you have a Prepaid Hourly account with Acenet, you need to let us know if you will be away for over 30 days. If you don’t, then your email account may be suspended until you return home – meaning you may not get those E-Cards for Christmas from your friends!

WORKSHOP NEWS

Electrical Storms – Modems beware!

During November there were numerous electrical storms affecting most areas in South East Queensland. Almost as frequently we were being contacted by our customers suddenly unable to connect to the internet. Yes – The feared predator of the household modem is the electrical storm.

When you prepare for a storm, securing your outdoor items, battening hatches and unplugging the TV, remember to spare a thought for your little modem. It only takes a minute to remove the telephone line (and if possible power plug) from it, but it may just save you buying a new modem.
