One of the main advantages of Mailscan is that the virus never reaches your computer. Every email is scanned for viruses at the server - this means that the emails in your inbox are virus free! Traditional Antivirus programs will wait until the email downloads (and sometimes until it is activated) before scanning it and removing any viruses. Unfortunately, we have found that sometimes this is too late to prevent the virus from doing damage.
How does it work?
Mailscan checks all incoming and outgoing emails for viruses before reaching your mailbox. If a virus is discovered, it is automatically removed from the email. A notification email is then sent from Mailscan containing information on the infected email and the name of the virus removed. Once the virus is removed from the email, it will be processed as a normal email.

How long does it take?
Once Acenet has received your completed application form with payment, it takes a between three (3) to six (6) hours for your Mailscan account to be activated.
How do I pay?
Mailscan is only $55 per year ($11 Setup Fee) which can be paid by Credit card, Cheque, Australian Money Order or Direct Deposit. If you visit our office in Murarrie, Brisbane, you could also pay by Cash or Eftpos.

Eset's NOD32 Antivirus System is the only product in the world that has not missed a single "In the Wild" virus in any test by Virus Bulletin since May 1998.
How does it work?
Once installed on your computer the NOD32 Antivirus System will scan various activities of the computer for viruses. These are broken down into separate monitors for ease and efficiency.
AMON
Active monitor - this will scan active programs, as well as any files that are opened, created or executed. This should be enabled at all times.
DMON
MS Office Document monitor - scans all Microsoft Office documents for viruses before opening them. Whether the file is stored on your computer, removable media (i.e. CD/DVD/USB drive) or the internet it is scanned first!
EMON
MS Office Email monitor - intergrated into Microsoft Outlook for added protection and facilities. Scans incoming emails for viruses and moves infected items to a separate folder.
IMON
Internet monitor - If you use Outlook Express for your emails, IMON handles your email scanning. It also scans internet traffic and websites for viruses.
NOD32
On-Demand Scanner - as the name suggests, you can run a detailed scan of your computer for viruses.
What about updates?
Generally NOD32 updates it's virus definitions at least once every day - unlike some antivirus vendors who provide weekly updates. It can even be setup to automatically update whenever you are connected to the internet.
How do I pay?
The NOD32 Antivirus System is on an annual subscription basis, a one year license is only $64.50 or $96.75 for two years. You can pay by Credit card, Cheque, Australian Money Order or Direct Deposit. If you visit our office in Murarrie, Brisbane, you could also pay by Cash or Eftpos.
How long does it take?
Once Acenet has received your completed application form with payment, it takes between two (2) to three (3) working days to receive your NOD32 license. Your license details will be emailed out to you.
How good is the NOD32 system?
We believe it is the best by far! However, don't take our word for it - NOD32 has consistantly won awards from Virus Bulletin (an independant body who tests many virus programs) and has even outscanned many top antivirus programs in a retrospective test. Click here to see more details on this test.
How do I sign up?
Simply contact Acenet by telephone on 1300 85 99 85 to purchase a NOD32 license. Once you have received your NOD32 license, you will be able to download the full NOD32 program from www.nod32.com.au. There is a also 30-day free trial available from www.nod32.com.au.
